Our pre-season kickoff event

Please join us for a Pre-Season programming event, featuring some of our local SCBWI-WWA writers and illustrators, who are joining together for kids as readers, and kids as eaters. It's going to blow the roof off of the Central Library! Don't miss this special occasion, brought to you by your peeps at SCBWI-WWA, Readers to Eaters, and the Seattle Public Library.

The evening kicks off at 6 p.m. in the SirsiDynix Gallery with exhibits and demonstrations from local food organizations. The main presentation begins at 7 p.m. in the Microsoft Auditorium, with opening remarks from Trudi Inslee, First Lady of the State of Washington.
 
The First Lady is followed by a panel discussion featuring:
Tarik Abdullah, Chef and educator, DJ and a Cook Pop Up Series
Bridget Charters, Director, Hot Stove Society, Tom Douglas Restaurants
Rebekah Denn, freelance food writer for the Seattle Times
Edouardo Jordan, Chef/Owner, Salare Restaurant
Kate Lebo, author, Pie School: Lessons in Fruit, Flour and Butter
Philip Lee, Publisher, Readers to Eaters

Authors we know whose books will be featured are:
