Get a taste of the only MFA program in the Northwest with a specific track in writing for children and
young adults--the Northwest
Institute of Literary Arts on Whidbey Island. You can attend a 9-day residency
program this January. Residency students take regular morning classes and attend special
afternoon sessions featuring guest speakers from across the industry.
Children's/young adult speakers this January include our very own amazing authors Suzanne Selfors and Martha Brockenbrough.

beautiful historic Captain Whidbey’s Inn!
